We got up to a cloudy day but it was better than the forecast - no rain. After brekkie we rode our bikes the 4+ k’s to Old Settlement Beach where many walks start. We did the Max Nicholls Memorial Track (class 3) to North Bay. It was a tough walk up - 450 steps up then 600 down to the beach - same on the way back. There were 1000’s of sooty terns and noodies nesting with all sizes of chicks hopping about - not ready to fly yet.
We made it back to lodge quite stuffed - ready for a bit of relaxing etc before dinner.
