In a bit of a final US Airways (RIP) hurrah, our ski trip this year included not only Whistler but Niseko, Japan. Our (US) award ticket was the last Frequent Flyer program to allow stopovers (at least of those which we use).
Our itinerary was:-
- Jan 26: SYD-NRT-YVR on JL business class
- Jan 26 - Feb 13: Intrawest Whistler
- Feb13-14: Overnight at the Fairmont @ YVR
- Feb 14: YVR-NRT on JL business class
- Feb 15-16: Overnight at Hilton at Narita
- Feb 16: NRT-CTS (Sapporo) on JetStar Japan
- Feb 16: bus from CTS to Niseko
- Feb 16-23: Ki Niseko Resort
- Feb 23: bus to CTS then CTS-NRT on J*
- Feb23/24: NRT-SYD JL business class
