Exmouth

Monday June 28

We drove back from Karijini to Exmouth in another record breaking run of 7 hours. We arrived in time to do some shopping so we had dinner at home - we upgraded from the studio we had booked to a 2 bedroom so that we would have a full kitchen - it proved to be an excellent idea at an additional $80 pn.

Tuesday May 29

We had to get up early for our pre-booked whale shark tour. The bus picked us up at 7:15am as it’s nearly an hour to the boat ramp - there’s no jetty so you ferry out to your tour boat by zodiac. There were 20 guests on the tour and 6 crew as well as a spotter plane - you start to understand the seemingly high price of $350 pp (after the seniors discount).

The tour was great we had 5 swims with our whale shark - pretty amazing.

We finally arrived back at the hotel at 5pm - totally stuffed. We finished off the day with dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Friday June 1

It was a bit of a day leisure - we drove to a lookout where there is 3-4 walk but we did not do it - then back to town for lunch at Frosh Pub then back to hotel for some resting and pool time. We had dinner at home - rib-eye steak (with sautéed mushrooms and onions), veggies (sugar snap peas and asparagus) and roast potatoes.

Saturday June 2

Uneventful day - afternoon flight back to Perth and the Westin.
