After cancelling a planned 15 day trip to Tasmania due to Covid concerns (i.e. what happens if you test positive while you’re there) - we decided to drive to Thredbo with Helen and Garry for a week. Then a few days prior to leaving we saw that the forecast for the week was quite dire - 2-10C on one of the days. So by mutual agreement with H&G we canned that as well. Dieter and I then decided to just drive to the Gold Coast and the hinterland.
Itinerary:
- Saturday Jan 29 - Drive to Sawtell for an overnighter (about 6 hours from Sydney)
- Sunday Jan 30 - continue onto to Broadbeach for 5 nights
- Friday Feb 4 - 8 - Maroochydore
- Tuesday Feb 8 - 11 - Binna Burra
- Friday Feb 11 - drive to Port Macquarie for an overnighter
- Saturday Feb 12 - back home
