We arrived at 8:30pm on Thursday, checked into the Sheraton at the airport, and after a nightcap in the club lounge we hit the sack.
Friday in Frankfurt was shopping day - we headed into town early and I got a great pair of Bogner ski-pants. We had lunch at our favourite cafe then headed back to the hotel for an afternoon siesta. We decided not to bother with dinner and just had some snacks and wine in the Sheraton Club.
Saturday morning we had an early breakfast in the club lounge then headed back to the airport for our 9:50am flight to Zurich. Due to weather we were delayed about an hour and 40 minutes so after arriving in Zurich we caught the 1:40PM train to Zermatt. We used the Swiss Rail door to door baggage service for our skis and ski bag (boots and other gear etc) so we did not have to hassle with all our luggage. Unlike our previous train trip to Zermatt the cog-wheel section from Visp to Zermatt (the last hour of a 3 hour trip) was not quite a total zoo - pretty much everyone got a seat.
